The listing for this is very confusing. The only base option shown is for Satin White. However, the bulb drop down menu there are choices for halogen bulbs with Satin Silver base or CFL bulbs with Satin White base. To be honest, I didn’t read the description closely and didn’t see the different options. Though Satin White is listed on my order, I received Satin Silver bases. After chatting with Customer Service I decided to take the 10% credit offered and keep the lights. I will paint the bases prior to install. I am considering using LED bulbs instead of the halogen bulbs supplied to reduce the heat output inherent with halogen bulbs. These sconces will be installed in the stairwells of our new construction house so I can’t speak to the ease of installation or performance of the fixtures.

Solid construction glass is thick and sturdy. Has multiple ways to mount the back plate which came in handy for installation

Not well designed. Install was not easy especially mounting. Also bulbs are loose in socet .
