Excellent weight but the brushed brass looked more Champaign than gold and like plastic so didn’t look high quality. I have other metals in my room so it clashed. Might work ok in a room w/ no gold accents/hardware. I am returning it.

This lamp is simple yet elegant, and of very good quality. I love it!

Love the lamp. Looks perfect in our livingroom. Ajustable light for reading is what I wanted.

I wanted two lamps for my sectional area. I wanted them dimmable (check), with a slender profile (check) and with a diffuser (got it). These lamps did all of the above. They beautifully fit behind my sofa and don't clutter the room visually. However, I wish I could dim them by simply touching them, or a switch on the side. Instead the dimmer switch is the box on the floor which I've tucked under the sofa base. So....first world concern here, of course. But a little design element I should have considered before. The base is heavy and the lamps are sturdy. The finish is excellent. I'm definitely keeping them. A lutron ap is likely my solution to the "dimming problem."

I got the task/table matching lamp and both work very well together.
