The shade has a purple undertone. I love how the light dims. But if close up you a see the glue in between, not worth the price.

This lamp is gorgeous! (My order got off to a rough start; the first two lamps arrived damaged but Wayfair quickly sent out replacements.) The lamp is a nice transitional piece that will fit with many different design elements. The alabaster of the lamp is a soft white with neutral coloring, not yellow at all. The square lampshade is an added bonus that elevates the piece. I was on the fence about ordering this one, but so glad I did!
