Design flaw. The canopy only measures 3.25", whereas the standard ceiling light electrical box measures 4", causing a gap. Manufacturer Amini was unresponsive when Perigold reached out for a solution. Very disappointed in Manufacturer, but appreciative of Perigold for trying to make things right.
