The light looks better in person! Gorgeous brass finish, not shiny, but not matte. The bulb portion is actually that, a bulb. Originally I thought it was a globe and the bulb was inside, but the "globe" part of the light is the bulb. That said, we LOVED the way this looked, and it would also allow someone to change out the bulb for a different look. Feels heavy and of good quality.
