Oddly enough, the lamp looks exactly as depicted online, which is very classy, cozy and clean. It is sturdy, has a long lasting feel to it. The surface doesn't seem like it would be scratched, nicked or be marred easily. The swing arm moves smoothly. I like where the switch is located on the stand so is easy to reach while sitting or standing. The light is diffused. It lights the room nicely, but does not make a dark room like daylight, if that is what some shoppers are looking for. It takes just one single light bulb - I used a 60 watt LED incandescent bulb. It dims, but when I turn it up all the way, it darkens a bit part way up - might be my bulb saying it's at its highest point even though the knob has more to go. Another thing I like is the base is elevated slightly from the where electrical cord originates, so that you don't have to turn lamp to have the cord in the direction you want. Overall, I'm very pleased with it.

The quality of the product and the of light it provides in the space is outstanding. We are very happy with this product and can highly recommend it. It was perfect for a tight space and does the job perfectly.
