The base provides a suitable weight so this lamp should not tip over easily. The finish is nice. There is a thumbscrew, that when tightened holds the lamp at your desired height. Be warned - each time you tighten this screw it may remove the bronze finish, and expose the metal underneath. Pros: Heavy base gives it a solid feel. Finish is nice. Cons: A little pricey for the quality. Lens reflector could be a little larger in order to accept a larger bulb design.

Looks just like the picture. I ordered the burnished bronze and it looks great with my decor. I did have a hard time turning the lamp head, thought it might break.

This is the perfect lamp for next to an easy chair. Adjustable height. Beautiful AND functional!
