It was incredibly hard to find an over the headboard light period, and this product fit the exact thing I was looking for. It will fit a thick headboard. Moreover, it is beautiful. It is very well made and looks very expensive. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

I have attached to my head board for reading in bed. It works great. I found the bub that came with the lamp to be too bright so purchased a bulb with less wattage for more comfort on the eyes.

The measurement for the maximum width the clamp can adjust to is wrong in the description by .5" - The base CLIP DOES NOT adjust up to 2.5" - It goes to 2.25" maximum.

I have been searching for a decent replacement for my old headboard lamp, and I finally found it in Wayfair! It was a little pricey, but well worth the investment. It fits headboards up to 2.5 inches deep and has a lovely golden patina. It's one of the nicest looking headboard lamps I've ever seen. And, best of all, it's MADE IN THE USA!! I also had some questions about the method of delivery, as I'd had some problems with FEDEX in the past, so I called Wayfair and spoke to a wonderful rep who went out of her way to assist me with my questions. I look forward to many years of happy reading with my new headboard lamp.
