We choose this flush mount for under a cabinet/above a sink in a laundry room. Love the way it looks out of the box; however, there is a ring of light at the top that shines on the cabinet. The fixture is literally designed this way. There was no mistake with installment; it was impossible to install it without a ring of light showing where the light met the under cabinet. We kept it, simply because we needed to "move on" in our house construction, but I imagine it will get replaced at a later date, due to this design issue.
