Metal and glass are layered here rather than simply combined: a round outer frame, a smaller ring inside it, and a clear glass canister that sleeves the long tubular bulb. Thin rods link the bands, which gives the Pippin 1 Light Pendant its lantern character without the weight of a solid lantern. The compact frame makes it easy to run in a row over a kitchen island or use singly in an entry. It hangs on an adjustable chain and dims for evening.
