The base is much bigger than it appears in the picture. I ordered two. The one that was damaged had a great deal more bubbling than the other. The damaged lamp had a better look than the other. They was suppose to be a pair, but looked nothing alike.

These lamps are classy, timeless, and beautiful. Unlike a previous, review, I actually like that the seeded glass in each lamp is unique and not identical. Love that you can use a three way light for different needs.

Love this lamp! Simple and classic. Love that it has a 3 way switch.
