This shade costs almost double what other same-size and fabric shades on Wayfair cost. I thought that would indicate the shade would be a higher quality. It is not. The linen is stark white and more loosely woven than other linen drum shades I own, so they look cheap. The construction is also not as good as I expected. Where the fabric is rolled and glued to the frame, the edges are frayed. Lastly, the diffuser is unlike any diffuser I have seen. It's just a piece of the lampshade material wrapped on a metal ring. Usually diffusers are a translucent disc of plastic. Because of the metal ring, the diffuser is very visible through the shade when the light is turned on. I'm very disappointed because the size was perfect.
