Very nice globes, perfect for my ceiling fan

Requires a light kit with external screws. Picture is wrong because it doesn’t show the screws. Does not work with threaded sockets. I have been through this a few times with Wayfair. Descriptions often don’t match actual product. Never buying from them again.

Disliked the color. It looked like it was covered with soot from a fire. Looked very dirty. I ordered a different style in white

First off, this shade is not 8" high -- it's only 5" high. I knew that when I ordered because I'd looked up the product information elsewhere, but that's a major goof and false advertising on the part of Wayfair. Anyway, these are exactly what I was expecting; I wanted to change the look of my Hunter ceiling fan that previously had clear glass shades and Edison filament bulbs to something that I could put brighter frosted bulbs in for more light without so much glare.

They fit my ceiling fan fixture just fine and gave it an updated look without having to replace the whole fan.
