Love, love, love this ceiling fan. It works perfectly in our 1920's Tudor. It doesn't get super bright, but it's only for overhead light. We have additional lamps for reading. BUT -- this needs a remote - make sure you buy one when you purchase this because it needs to be wired when you hang the light. Our electrician has to come back because we didn't realize this... Pros: great design, modern Cons: Needs a remote!!
