[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stainless steel tea kettle by Viking surpasses all of my expectations. It is a sleek, modern design with a handle that’s easy to hold and (no pun intended) handle. I wish the photos could capture the whistling sound this kettle makes once the water starts to boil! The design is such that the pour is easy, and just enough water comes out to make a great cup of tea or hot cocoa without spitting the boiling water all over the place. It’s clearly a well made design, and worth every penny of its price. This is a classic kettle that will last a very long time - I love it!. Janets. Fri Oct 23 2026
The 9091 kettle has a melodic whistle made of brass in a shape that has never been seen before and consists of two small vents in which the tuners that reproduce the notes mi and si are inserted. Richard Sapper created this kettle inspired by a childhood remembrance, the poetic sound of boats' sirens at the River Rhine: This is because the melody that accompanies the vapor outlet must be pleasant and not anxious like the whistle of boilers. This induction kettle is a polysensory object that will not interrupt an enjoyable break with a whistle but with a captivating melody.
This is a very beautiful looking kettle, except for the bottom connection to the base should have been a different material Because one mistake with the flame to high it started melting. Can that be correct. Thank you…. Roxanne. Brooklyn, NY. Wed Apr 05 2023
