They had a similar model for same price but that one had 2 lights and the buttons below the glass. This has 4 lights which provides just the right amount of bright light and has the buttons above the glass to keep clean. Fan action works fine, not quit but not loud in my opinion. The 42" Fabriano 600 CFM Convertible Island Range Hood in Stainless Steel is a beautiful combination of glass and stainless steel in a modern design. The hand-blown curved glass allows plenty of natural light to filter down to the cooking surface.

We absolutely love our new island range hood. The black stainless steel with the curved tinted glass compliments our newly remodeled kitchen perfectly. It has 5 different exhaust settings, but honestly, the second lowest setting is the highest setting we've needed to use. And it is a relatively quiet setting. It works exactly as it should. It starts getting a little loud at the fourth setting. My one complaint would be the lights. They started out as being fairly bright but quickly faded to a very, very dim light...and we haven't mistakenly left the lights on or anything. Once we replace them with brand new light bulbs, hopefully they will remain bright for a longer period of time than these did. Installation was definitely a challenge; we had a few obstacles to overcome, but nothing we couldn't adapt to. The hood looks nice and works great and I love that the controls are located on both sides of the hood. When the hood first arrived I pulled everything out to check for dents and didn’t see any but once we went to install it a long time after there was a dent that can really only be noticed at the right angle. After waiting months to have my kitchen back I didn’t want tot have to take it down and wait for a new one so I’m living with a dented hood.
