For our kitchen remodel we were looking to change to a 36" range, and evaluated many models available. Based on looks and features, we decided to go with the Café model. It has only been in use for 3 weeks so far, but we love the burners and the spacious oven. Having connectivity to the phone is great as well. Looking forward to getting the Turkey Gobbler feature loaded before we cook our next turkey. The range looks great in the middle of our kitchen and serves as a focal point behind the island.. Egbh. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned a 36" gas slide in range by Bosch for over 2 years and not a week goes by when I don't regret this decision. We paid our builder for an "upgraded" appliance package thinking that Bosch products would be worth the extra cost. WRONG!! Within a month we had to have the local dealer work on it because the internal cooling fan that runs during operation (and 20 minutes more after you turn oven off) made a nerve wracking noise. That's not the biggest issue though. Literally, every other time we use it the oven will not stay lit. The pilot light will come on for 30 seconds and then goes out. Numerous times we have turned the oven on (or thought so) wait for it to preheat and when we go to put food in it is ice cold. It is a struggle every single time. You have to open the door to make sure the flame is on (you can't tell when the door is closed if it's on or not) then you have to close the door in slow motion or the flame goes out. We finally determined that every time we use this range we have to come over after a few minutes to feel if the oven door is warm. That's the only way you can make sure it's on and working. Absolutely ridiculous. In a perfect world I would throw it in the trash. I wouldn't even try to sell it used because that would be cruel to whoever bought it. Based on my experience with this product I will tell everyone I know who is looking for appliances to never buy any product that Bosch makes.. Steve S. Wed Oct 07 2026
