Executed at the highest level of handcraftsmanship, each piece is rendered in solid brass with etched cocoon-shaped vessels. The pieces in the collection are a tour de force of Indian craft and capture the poetic spirit that is so deeply indicative of Michael's work. "The first time I saw this tree, it literally looked like it had been completely overtaken by butterflies... as if they would all take flight the moment I walked too close or made a noise. The idea that the leaves could evoke the beauty of butterflies was magical to me, like trees that can metamorphose from flora to fauna in the blink of an eye."

Cabbage, in its rough and flat form, could be used as a metaphor for Portugal’s rustic ways, which Bordallo had so many times caricatured. This was a clever way to honour it, placing it on the bourgeois’ tables, where other way it had not been invited.

I love villeroy Boch items This teapot was made so nice I love it n so happy it arrived safely since a little more than half of these breakable items have not arrived in one piece over the last 3 yrs coming from the warehouse due to shipping items like this in bags with no padding or bubble wrap, I’ve tried to address this with wayfair but there was not much other than that I could do than have it noted each time an item arrived damaged.
