We installed this 5 years ago on a remodel and had looked at the 9" depth in the store and decided on that one. We didn't realize right next to it was the 5" depth and when we went back to order at the plumbing store, accidentally just pointed the 5" depth out in a rush to get it ordered. When it arrived, the plumber pointed it out and said we would hate it and offered to return and reorder, but we had already waited 3 weeks for this one and were eager to be done with the remodel so we opted to keep it. We are 5 years in and wish we had paid more attention and listened to our plumber. The sink, while lovely and works, is not deep enough to counter splashing when washing hands, pots, etc. and so as a result the granite around the sink is already showing signs of hardwater stains that we will have to pay to have polished out. This is the second home I have installed Kohler Riverby sink in because I love it so much! I have had the 30" version of it in my house since 2016 and it still looks like new! Keeping the included rack in the sink keeps it from getting scratched or marked. I needed a smaller sink for a small condominium I own, so I purchased the same sink in this 25" version. Having the drain offset away from the center makes it much easier to place and rinse dishes without spoons or forks dropping straight down into the drain, so I have never had that issue. It is beautiful, sturdy and the best part is how it slightly slopes downward toward the drain, making rinsing and cleaning it much more efficient. This sink is a really great size, and just fits over my 30" cabinet base. I love the lip and the colander that slides side to side. So, the sink is beautiful and I love the offset drain and the work station features (extra cost but you can have a cutting board, colander, drying board and soaking bowl). However, two separate sinks were delivered with cracks in the corner. One was substantial, and I returned it to Wayfair w/o issue. The second was a small hairline crack that was just forming, and I exchanged it under warranty with Kohler. I got a 3rd sink with no issues, but now I'm scared cracks might develop down the road. Unfortunately the counter was already templated to this sink (which btw you must use the template to make sure the edges are exposed for the accessories), so I just have my fingers crossed. Just got this sink, and had it installed yesterday, the sink is absolutely beautiful! It really brightens up our kitchen! The ripples in the porcelain when light reflects on it at nighttime make you feel like you are at a real river!!! So cool! At first I thought that the ripples were a flaw until my husband looked it up online, and read where they put those in the sink to give one the feel of being at a river. A beautiful relaxing sink, that cheers one up while using it sure is better than the dull boring stainless steel sink that we took out to replace it with. The Riverby white enamel sink is beautiful. Any debris in the sink washes into the drain right away, because the surface is smooth and the slope is perfect. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a double basin sink in the same black matte texture as this farmhouse sink and I am loving the upgrade! My husband and brother in law were able to install it with about a day and a half of work - neither of them are professional plumbers or handy men, but they are very DIY capable and were able to take on the project with no hiccups! The sink itself is gorgeous, easy to clean, easy on my dishes (nothing has broken) and the size is perfect. It has made cleaning my pots and pans very easy, there is so much space. I also love that the design has opened up my kitchen space as well. The metal hook that comes with it is good in theory but it’s kind of flimsy.
