Thrilled with this tile for our backsplash! Wanted some visual interest but not an overwhelming pattern against the movement of the countertop. Most coat of arms tile we found were 8 inch. We wanted 6” given the 18”clearance beneath the cabinet, to not have to cut so much tile and mess the pattern. Glad we kept searching for the right one. This is perfect! I’d describe the color more ivory than white. We used honey butter grout.. Ivy. Seymour, CT. Wed Feb 04 2026

We were Inspired by Guastavino's exquisite tile arch when we create our Guastavino tile Collection; Guastavino was a Spanish architect and builder. Based on the Catalan vaults he created the Guastavino tile, a "Tile Arch System" patented in the United States in 1885 and used for constructing robust, self-supporting arches and architectural vaults using interlocking terracotta tiles and layers of mortar. Guastavino tile is found in some of New York's most prominent Beaux-Arts landmarks and in major buildings across the United States. It is used in a huge number of architecturally important and famous buildings with vaulted spaces. Guastavino was not the principal architect for most of the projects.

Offering a beautifully unique update to the timeless subway tile, the allure of classic style with the essence of modern-day decoration. With slight undulation and a smooth glossy finish, this subway tile offers a handmade appearance through subtle imperfections that make it look like each tile was handcrafted. It is unique yet simple enough to integrate into any design, ranging from traditional-style renovations to modern home projects. Intended for interior wall use, it is an ideal choice for kitchen backsplashes, bathroom showers, and fireplace facades. It is great as a cohesive look or paired with other products in the Castillo Collection. Tile is the better choice for your space. This tile is made from natural ingredients, making it a healthy choice as it is free from allergens, VOCs, formaldehyde, and PVC.
