I thought that these bands would make contact with the button on the container to make the seal better. They don’t. They just hold the lid on and look nice but I really don’t see the benefit.

These bands help secure your container in the freezer.

Not wonder they came out with elastic to keep them closed, the lids, even after the vacuum don't stay on, so the vacuum aspect is also gone. I would not recommend these at all
