The heavy duty ceramic over stainless steel, making this 8-inch skillet not only durable,but nonstick, without the health concerns of the nonstick finishes which can emit toxins or the breaking down of the nonstick finish into your food. I add a teaspoon of butter or olive oil when cooking my eggs or French toast or a pancake and they slide in the pan when flipping over and then out of the pan. Also great for grilling a sandwich. Highly recommend.
