OK, so what made these knives so awesome to us? Not their beauty and balance, which we expected. It was the unexpected. The knives felt and functioned comfortably in the hands of both, myself and my wire. So what?, you may ask. The "so what" is that my wife is left-handed while I am right-handed. Thus it was most unusual and most satisfying to find the knives performed well for both of us. To us, that factor alone greatly elevates the value of these instruments.

They are incredibly beautiful and sharp (was shredding the sponge when we were washing them). The knife block is great (longer than our previous one so does take up quite a bit of counter space). If you can swing it, I would definitely invest in these knives! They should last a lifetime.
