This is a quality sharpening steel. I had an older, cheaply made one from years ago that was rusty and so I purchased this looking for a good sharpening steel for my new Zwilling Pro Chef knife. The first thing I noticed was the weight. This is much heavier than my previous sharpening steel. It does the job and I know this product will last!

Nice heavy sturdy honing steel. Longer 12" length is perfect to hone my 10" chef's knife and slicer. Realigns the burrs on the blade of the knife, and gets rid of any nicks. Helps keep my knives extremely sharp at all times. Built to last a long time, and made in Germany.
