Beautiful design and faucet but I needed one with the plate covering so that we could use it on an old farmhouse sink with previously drilled handle and spout holes. This is a SIMPLE piece to manufacture and it’s such a bummer they don’t include it as an optional fitting!! It’s very common for faucets to come with this elongated cover plate and for it to be an optional fitting so that the faucet may be installed with or without as needed/preferred. This easy fix would send this to 5 stars for me.
