The 48” version easily exhausts heat and smoke from cooking with my grill and side burners, Usually the lowest blower speed or second lowest is sufficient when cooking for 2-4 people. Lights do a great job at night. Be sure to unpack and examine closely as soon as it arrives. Mine came with dents on front panel. I was able to cover them with Zline emblem. Way fair and Zline we’re very good about giving me an adjustment to compensate for the damage. After 7 months of usage I am still very happy with this unit.

Purchased for our screened porch/outdoor kitchen area. It is beautiful, quiet, pretty easy to install. We did hire a contractor for that but he said it was simple. The vent comes out to the top, we wanted it through a side wall so purchased one more connection. If you want the air to go up, then you don't need anything else. Recommend!
