The internal damper is defective. The design is bad as only the parts sent with vent were used. The duct blocks the damper from opening when it is attached and sealed because the damper is too big. Had to hire someone to remove damper and now the vent works. I should be reimbursed for the bad design and having to hire someone to open it and diagnose and fix what is essentially bad design defect. The buttons placement on the BACK of the unit is also horrible idea. Have to reach across the stove to push them. Would have returned it had it not been installed.

We expected this to be somewhat comparable to the home improvement store stock. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and beautiful design! The crown molding gives it a little extra umph! Looks stylish but sturdy. Very happy with our purchase!

Absolutely gorgeous! Cannot speak to the ease of installation since it was done as part of a kitchen makeover by a professional. Makes the statement I intended. Fan works well, not silent though. The controls are a little further back than I'd like, considering my elderly mom.
