The sheet metal on the shell of this hood is very thin and the joints between the top and sides are welded, rather than being bent. This, along with the poor quality of the welds, caused them to crack along their entire length on the unit I received. The item arrived in this condition and there was no evidence of other damage. This indicates really poor quality control by Zline. Zline's customer service was extremely difficult to contact (repeated calls were required to get in touch with anyone) and repeatedly insisted that this was Wayfair's problem to solve and not theirs. After some difficulty, Wayfair was ultimately the party to make it right and allowed me to return the product for a refund. I suspect Zline's business model is selling pretty products with poor quality to give the impression that they're a better value than other brands. They're not.

It's loud. The 'tones' measurement does not seem accurate. It works well, just very loud. It also arrived already used (picture of the back). But I had electricians at the house already, so I installed it.
