Out with the old unit in with the new in under 2 hours looks good fits well much quieter than the old Broan unit.

UPDATE: The fan now has a rattle to it. It needs to be on high to get any sort of down draft happening. I have put the screens in the dishwasher several times, but I can't say that they really get that clean. There is a lot of discoloration on the exterior of the screen holders. It is, however, still working. This replaced our 10 yr. old. Kitchen aid down draft. It has a much smaller profile than our last one, but it is definitely louder. It works very well and we are very pleased. It took two trips to the hardware store to get the parts to make it work with our current down draft duct work in our cabinet. We have knowledge of this type of work so it was fairly easy to install. Without the time going to the store, it took about an hour and a half. FYI the instruction book is not very helpful.

This down draft is good quality and value. My handy man had no problem installing it and even though it’s quite loud, it does the job!

We are enjoying our downdraft by Zephyr. It has that high end look and has a powerful exhaust.
