I bought the Classic Ikon 8" Bread Knife years ago. I have a large salad every day and the knife cuts/slices beautifully. I just bought the exact knife a few weeks ago so I will have 2, since the first one is getting tired of slicing all the vegetables over the many years.

The bread knife is one of the most essential knives in your kitchen. You can have any old bread knife. . . however, the Wusthof 8" is imperative for its design and craftsmanship.

This is art and they have perfected it. I personally was not going to put a bread knife in my blocks building budget as I think bread is fairly easy to cut, but once you step into the class of these quality knives there won’t be any junk in my block. Super sharp, and stays that way, handle is a fit for the small and large mitts. Thanks WÜSTHOF!!!
