I honestly only purchased this knife because I wanted to see what the "extra wide" actually ment; as it is also offered in the chefs blade. It is slightly heavier than my other pairing knife (which i do prefer). By 'wide,' this refers more to the depth of the blade, versus if the blade makes a 'wider' cut. I'll try to post a photo of one of my regular pairing knives next to the extra wide one to help explain! Either way, I'm pretty happy with this choice as ive always found wusthof knives to be of the best quality! Ill be purchasing the extra wife 8in chef blade next.

I like the extra wide blade, it provides girth when needed and very easy to use

The Paring knife is awesome. The extra wide blade allows better control and slicing seems easier than the narrower paring knife.

One of the best knives I own . Sharp as a razor . It makes slicing , cutting and dicing a pleasure because it requires no effort with this knife . It's light weight and when using it your hand never tires . And it goes well with all the rest of my Wusthof knives. You see I happen to think Wusthof makes the Worlds best knives . They are a class operation . I'll be ordering from them again.

I bought a Wusthof block and knives with wedding money 35 years ago. They were an investment and worth every penny. When I saw this little gem I knew it’d be a great addition. The knife is as well made and balanced as the ones I’ve enjoyed for so long.
