The disks that come with the Vitamix don’t include anything that will shred carrots finely enough to use for baking. So I had to order this attachment and it works great. I think this should be one of the disks included with the Vitamix, and not something you have to go back and order later. The ones that come with it may be great for salads but they don’t shred nearly fine enough for baking. (Cakes, muffins). Having said that, this fine shredding attachment is great. 👍🏼

Love these additional attachments. They make fine shredding and ultra thin cutting a breeze with the food processor. Easy to clean too.

Really needed this extra blade to add to my processor set. It made a difference in shredding my vegetables like carrots. Made very strong and durable.

I thought the regular ones were too thick for shredded carrots with food and also some recipes call for finely shredded carrots and it’s just overall so much better with thin sliced everything, potatoes for hash browns for example. It works very well. Usually with food processors some parts get stuck in between the blade and the top of the lid, and does in this one too a little bit but not as much as with other ones I’ve tried.

Love this food processor, sharp blades, large capacity. Easy cleanup.

Food processor ultra thin blade disc works great for making chips. I used it for turnip and rutabaga chips and thin sliced cucumbers for salads.

it works great. l like it. Best for potato chips. highly recommended!!!

These are a great addition to the rest of the blades and work well for grating Parmesan Reggiano cheese and also thin slicing.
