This top is so much more convenient if you aren't shredding or slicing. Its easier to store, takes up less space and you don't have the chute getting in your way if its not needed. This has become my main lid for food processing

I purchased this lid about a year ago and it has worked great until recently. The pin that detects the lid broke off and is made of plastic. Don't know why it got so brittle all of a sudden.
