The Ash Grey finish is a really warm grey, just what I was looking for to soften the contrast against white cabinets. Installation of four of these was a little more involved because the back of the backplate has a nib above the hole. I had to make another small hole to accept the nib and get a flush mount on the cabinet door.

These backplates add the perfect extra touch to our cabinet doors that we were just going to put a knob on! The faux screws look really cute and the color is a perfect champagne gold. The only problem is though, that the hole to put the knob in (which can be anything you wish) isn’t really a great size to put any knob! My contractor made it work, but he was worried that they might feel wobbly after some use. Fortunately, we have them on cabinets that aren’t used that often. It’s been almost 2 months and no wobbling yet! It would be nice if Top Knobs actually made one that was specific to this backplate.
