Excellent. Just what we were looking for in a roaster. Used it last night - brilliant!

Cooks a 6-7 lb broiler perfectly. My family couldn’t stop raving about how juicy it turned out! I usually roast my whole birds in a large Dutch oven with veggies and I was very surprised that using the Staub roaster made it MORE tender juicy than in the Dutch oven with the veggies! I’m very pleased with it.

Love this for roasting a chicken. All the fat drips into pan. Create your own rotisserie chicken.

You'll love this roaster. The base is deep enough to hold the bird juices and some added liquid. I like to snug the bird down and fill it with wine and a few herbs while it cooks and add some veggies around the base. For best results place bird bottoms up.

Dont use beer can use this to roast your next fryer. The chicken cooks vertically with the breast down. I put potatoes and vegetables on the bottom that are done when the chicken is done. The breast meat is not dry because the schmaltz drips down. Great way to get the moist meat and the crispy skin everyone wants. Staub makes a great product you will have forever. The vertical roaster is VERY EASY TO CLEAN. When it is to hot in your kitchen I roast the vertical chicken in my grill.
