I have a lot of Shun knives. They are the best knives I have ever used.

This is a staple knife in my kitchen. The blade is delicate so overtime it can get damaged. It is so sharp that is outright dangerous. I keep it in its sleeve in the drawer.

Great chef's knife. Razor sharp edge. Wonderfully well balanced in the hand when in use. It is the primary knife I reach for in the kitchen. Never put this in the dishwasher. Always hand wash and dry immediately. It has a delicate edge which needs to be protected when being stored...either in a knife block or in a sleeve when stored in a drawer. It is a good investment. Will need to be professionally sharpened after many uses...the angle on the blade is different than on Western manufactured knives and so you need a pro to do it or you will wreck the blade if you try it at home. Pros: Super razor sharp knife. Beautiful design with a gorgeous blade. Cons: Delicate. Not for everyone.
