Sharp enough to cut but enough protection to avoid cutting oneself. The size makes it perfect to store conveniently without taking up space.

If you're doing a very large batch, I'd recommend using the OXO slicer, but I loved making zucchini noodles (zoodles) with this julienne peeler. The standard peeler works best on long and flat produce (zucchini, squash, cucumbers) than it did on round-shaped objects, like apples.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these peelers a few weeks ago and so far, they are amazing! They feel great in the hand and are super easy to use. The serrated peeler is amazing for peeling soft fruit; I use it mainly to peel the rind off of lemons since it doesn't get any of the pith :-) The Julienne peeler does perfectly shaped slices that are great for when I do sushi, or make zucchini zoodles. The only complaint would be I wish the blades had protective coverings. I can't tell you how many times i reached into my drawer and got "stabbed" by the julienne peeler. I keep them wrapped in paper towels when not in use to protect my fingers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using my OXO y-peelers for about a month now. I love the straight blade peeler best. It glides so smoothly over the foods I’m preparing and does a great job of peeling. The julienne peeler works well, too, but is not quite as easy to use as the straight-blade. It takes a little more effort to pass the blade, but overall, it gets the job done. The serrated blade also does a great job at peeling more delicate items. I love that the blades are all color coated for easy recognition and that they are small enough to store easily. I’ve enjoyed using my new peelers and have even recommended them to others! Thanks for another great product!
