The cookie press looks like a quality piece, but it is a gift to my wife and she will be the judge of that. We previously had a screw driven press and it worked well for many years; but that type of press is no longer available. I looked at reviews of cookie presses, and the OXO rated favorably.

Works as advertised - you can fill up a cookie sheet in a flash. Just a little tricky getting the dough into the tube but finally figured out that you can ball up the dough to put it in the tube and just press down on it with your fingers it works much easier. It makes a super cute cookie shape and I should be having a lot of fun with this gadget in the future.

My husband loves it! He bakes cookies every Sunday.

Perfect! It's sturdy so it doesn't feel like it will break. The plates are metal and come in a nice container with a snap lid. Just like my grandma used.
