Details in the pan are too fine for cakes. They don't show up at all and the cakes just look like little lumps. You'd be better off using a larger pan. This might work out for jello or something else.

I adore this cake pan. I got this to make little cakes for tea parties with my friends, and it works PERFECT! Once I finally mastered how to use baking spray like the packaging suggests, it worked like a charm. I was able to get three batches out of a single 13.25 oz box of cake mix. It is a bit of a pain to clean, but once I figure that out it'll be smooth sailing.
