Reinforcement necessary. This is a great sink… in the installation guide from the manufacturer, they highly recommend (see attached picture) that you build a custom base (or somehow reinforce) for the sink because of its weight. Just something to consider when planning your project. I needed a sink immediately and while the product was being shipped, I could have been gathering material and starting the reinforcement efforts. This delayed my project and caused some stresses that could have been avoided, so I wanted to share with others. Possible solutionthe sellers and manufacturers of this farmhouse sink should add it as a note in the product description to give buyers some predictability, which will result in better reviews of the product itself.
