I purchased this knife as a gift for my son. It looks beautiful, has a nice weight to it too. I was looking for a genuine Japanese made knife. The listing on Wayfair didn’t say anything about this knife being a willing Henkel product. Had I known I likely would have passed it up. It may be returned. Haven’t decided.

I received this knife couple of days ago and finely used it today to cut my homemade sourdough bread. It was a game changer for me. I tried just normal cheap knife before, then I bought electric knife. No luck. I was struggling with all of them. And today the new Miyabi knife got though the loaf easy. I hope it will stay sharp for long. Right now I am very happy with it.
