This is a nice, manageable size for a 10-12 lb. poultry item . It is durable and heats evenly.

I love my LeCreuset Collection. The majority of my pieces are Cast Iron, all under 4 quart capacity. I do not buy the Stoneware for cooking because I have a history of chipping this type of material. I recently added the Stainless Steel Deep Fry Pan & Small Saucier to my collection. I roast vegetables weekly. I decided on the Stainless Steel Roaster over the Cast Iron due to the weight. I find my 9-10 lb Cast Iron pieces at times difficult to wrangle now due to my advancing arthritis. I deducted 1 star from my rating due to the non-stick roasting rack. I made the change to non-toxic cooking materials years ago. I only cook on Cast Iron, Ceramic Coated and Stainless Steel, even my electric cookers have either ceramic coated or stainless steel pots. I know you can safely cook with non-stick if you follow the rules plus routinely replace. I cook for enjoyment and relaxation & I don't want to worry about closely inspecting my pans for scratches or monitoring their temperature constantly. My choice. After much thought, I decided to buy this Stainless Steel Roaster. I received it quickly. I opened the box, made a warning sign for the Non-Stick Coated Rack and put in a give away for neighbors. I then bought the perfect sized no name brand Stainless Steel Roasting Rack for my Le Creuset Stainless Steel Roasting Pan from Amazon. Does it sadden me that I am forced to buy and use a non-Le Creuset roasting rack? Yes, but I don't have to worry about getting sick from your non-stick roasting rack if I scrape the coating. Le Creuset, can you think about offering a Stainless Steel Roasting Rack for your Stainless Steel Roasting Pan?
