8" Le Creuset has a nice weight. Cooking surface is around 6". Enough for one egg. I found my pan not completely flat and the handle weight is top heavy for the 8". Almost flipped pan by touching top of handle on stove. Guessing they used the same handle that is used on larger pan sizes. Bought to replace a Belgique pan that is over 15yrs old. The Le Crueset should last for many years, but given the price point and the weight of handle vs balance of pan I would not buy . Maybe a larger size by this company would work better.

I love Le Creuset and this frypan is no exception.

Love this pan. We use it to cook so many things. It’s an investment that we will use for years and years and years.
