We love Kohler products and have put them in every bathroom, kitchen and laundry room in our new house. In our previous house we had a Kohler kitchen sink that was stainless steel that was also scratch resistant. We purchased that sink in 2014 when we built the previous house. We lived in our previous home for 11 years and never got a single scratch in the kitchen sink. We purchased the Undertone undermount sink for our new home that we are remodeling thinking it would be the same quality as the one in our previous home. Within a few days of using the new sink we had scratches in the sink from the same dishes and cooking utensils from our previous house where we had a Kohler stainless steel sink that never scratched. Has the quality of the sinks changed? Should we have purchased a different model sink? Thank you, Kirk

We bought and installed this sink in May of 2021. Sink is to replace a builder-grade double sink. We are extremely happy with the Kohler K-5290 stainless steel sink. The 9" deep bowl accommodates all of our pot and pans for easy cleaning. Quality of the stainless steel material is excellent. Kohler should seriously consider improving upon the sound dampening qualities of the sink. We installed dampening wrap on the sink prior to install. Installation was quick and easy...just follow the instructions.
