One thing i did not realize is that the unit is glass and not plastic, the interior strainer is stainless. I am also glad I went with the larger one as opposed to the smaller one. You cannot go wrong with this!

This cold brew maker lid is not air tight, changing the overall flavor of the coffee. I own and love other kitchen aid products, but this misses the mark.

I received this as a bridal shower gift with the intent this would replace my smaller pitcher used for cold brewing coffee. The main issue is this does not maintain an air tight seal, and as a result, the cold brew does not taste right. This is fine to use for tea in the fridge or for other infused beverages, but it doesn't work well for its intended use.
