Looks beautiful with red cherry absents and mimics the inset wood of the door front

These are very classy knobs. There is an anchor on the back that will keep the knob from turning after you tighten it - as another comment mentioned. Be sure you hold the knob where you want it as you tighten, so the small pointed bump digs into the wood. If you move the knob around while tightening, you may make a groove with the bump and then it could move with use. My guess is this knob won't work on hard surfaces (light mirrored drawers or doors) because it can't dig in and the bump will cause the knob to sit crooked. I really like the feature. A great buy for me.
