Received my Global knife set today and I have to admit that I’m impressed with the magnetic easel. All my previous knife sets have come with a knife block, but I love how accessible the knives are with the easel. It has a modern and sleek look while still being functional. Also the easel takes up minimal space on the counter. The only drawback I see is that I’m not sure it will house as many knives as the block. As for the knives, I feel like they are on the lighter side but seem well made.

These are high quality, expensive knives. Very well balanced and razor sharp out of the box. They feel really nice in your hand. It is thin behind the edge, but has enough blade stock to feel sturdy. They stick well to the magnetic board. The sharpener works really well (the water is a nice feature) and works much better than cheap sharpeners. We tried it on a super dull knife and it made it razor sharp in no time. Im sure the knives will wear and hold up nicely.

I have always wanted a Japanese style chef's knife and this with the magnetic holder is perfect. Looks great and is sharp enough to cut an orange in half with very little pressure. The wet stone guided sharpener worked great on an older knife which was attempted so I could review the sharpener as well and it worked great. No complaints and I recommend this product.

These knives are absolutely fantastic. Super sharp and absolutely beautiful. The stand looks incredible as well. There is also a catalog to order additional knives which is very convenient. I love the design of these! Much more hygienic than wooden handles.
