The Opal Cleaning Kit is designed for routine maintenance on the GE Profile Opal Nugget Ice Maker. Regular use of this cleaning kit will remove internal and external scale (mineral & calcium build-up) and keep your ice tasting fresh! We recommend using the cleaning kit every 6 months, or sooner depending on your water conditions. The cleaning solution is nearly odorless and is more effective than other at-home solutions. The Kit includes two 2.5-ounce cleaning solution bottles, cleaning cloth, sponge and 4 Q-tips. Keeping the Opal ice maker and side tank accessory clean ensures you have plenty of fresh tasting ice. The Opal ice maker will indicate when it is time to clean the unit using the display ring around the round button on the front. When the display ring is solid yellow, it is ready to be cleaned.

I ordered this & it was delivered today. I opened the box & the solution & cleaning cloth had just been thrown in the box. They weren’t in a product package. The solution had leaked all over the box, causing a mess on my floor. This went straight into the trash can!

We are having trouble with our ice machine. When we first purchased the machine the ice made in 30 minutes no problem, now in 30 mins we don't have enough ice to fill one cup. We just cleaned the machine to see if that would help. Let me know if there is something we are missing.
