This double boiler was ordered specifically for melting chocolate which it did to perfection but it is clear to see that it can serve multiple purposes. Most happy to have it in my kitchen!

I haven’t used it yet, but it’s nice looking and it feels like a high-quality piece of cookware. Good size - small but not too small. Smooth edges and easy-to-grip handles.

I was looking for a double-boiler in which I can reheat leftovers on an induction counter cooker. This double boiler is well designed and works well. It was somewhat pricey, but was also on sale at the time, so I decided to order it.

I'm a bit on the fence about this double boiler. Here are the reasons: * It is listed as having a 1.5-quart capacity, but that refers to the bottom piece. The top piece has a capacity of only 1 quart. That said, it does leave a good inch and a half for stirring without spilling over. * Despite its claim of being good quality stainless steel, it has a metallic odor that I generally attribute to something made of aluminum. * After I ordered this item, I found it on a large, well-known online shopping website for $15.00 less.

Very good easy to balance and holds a fare amount of liquid.
