It's very sturdy stainless steel. Hard rubbery plastic ends prevent it from sliding. Fits perfectly into the quartzite 16.45" - long cutout over my Franke CLV110-28 sink. It let me eliminate a dish rack which used up space on the countertop.

Bought this for my new Peak Franke sink. By the time the sink arrived and got installed, it was over 30 days. We were excited to open the colander to try it out. It DID NOT FIT on either the top or middle ledge. It’s too small. I can’t return it as it’s after the 30 day return policy. So don’t buy one!
